    Campsite Supervisor

    Looking for a team of three people to live on site at Mendip Outdoor Pursuits this summer and look after our tented village. £26,000 pro-rata each


    Perfect job opportunity for university student looking for summer work. Employment dates: 22nd June - 16th August 2018

    Earn £4,000 (approx) for 2 months work, tented accommodation and 3 meals a day provided at no cost or deduction of wages. (£26,000 per year pro rata)

    Two roles available (friends/couples considered)

    Benefits include free recreational skiing/snowboarding and disc golf, the chance to try all of our activities for free and a generous discount in our Alpine Lounge Cafe.

    Qualifications Required

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Live onsite at Mendip's 250 acre activity centre in the heart of the Mendip Hills. Help look after our campsites and be on call overnight (on a rota basis) to help ensure our groups have a great experience whilst staying with us.

    You will need a positive 'can do' attitude and must be confident speaking to large groups. Groups will be off site for most of the day but whilst they are at the camp, you will be their main point of contact whilst on shift. Full hands on training will be provided.

    Help maintain the tented villages and shower blocks. The role will involve general cleaning of the campsite and facilities.

    Assist the catering team to ensure food is transported and served to groups at scheduled times.

    Daytime Responsibilities

    - Be one of three campsite supervisors

    - Welcome and introduce guests as they arrive

    - Introduction to the camp, setting expectations and emergency procedures

    - Assisting with service of food for breakfast and dinner.

    - Assist and organise the cleaning of the site

    - Encourage customers to take responsibility for the cleaning of the facilities

    - Cleaning and general maintenance of the shower block and campsite

    - Ensuring a deep clean is completed at the end of each groups visit

    Nighttime Responsibilities

    - To be available and on-site during your available for work time slot

    - To understand and be able to carry out the emergency procedures as and when required

    Other Responsibilities

    - Work closely with you colleagues

    - Anticipate customer needs and react as required to meet their needs

    - Deal with enquiries in a professional and courteous manner

    - Fufil all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety

    - Always adhere to all Mendip policies and procedures

    - Be punctual and maintain a professional appearance, including adhering to uniform policy

    - Prioritise tasks efficiently and effectively

    Responsibilities:

    Mendip is an expanding, dynamic business that is looking for its newest team member. Working at Mendip is not your normal 9-5 sat behind a computer type of role, and we are looking for someone who will shine in this opportunity!

    You will be the face of Mendip, manning the customer service desk and the first point of contact for our customers. Answering phones, emails and enquiries will be just the tip of the iceberg as this role includes briefing customers on our self led activities such as disc golf and tobogganing.

    Key roles will include:

    Bar and Catering Team Member

    Responsibilities

    Mendip is an expanding dynamic business. Recent increases in work load have led to the need for an extra member of staff to work within our team.
    The role will involve working with our catering team and covering a range of responsibilities. A suitable candidate will be quick to learn how our business operates and the procedures we follow. The right person will manage their time efficiently; good organisational skills are essential. The job requires a polite courteous approach to all communication.

    The position is for Saturday and/or Sunday work, further shifts may be available, especially in peak times including school holidays.
