What is Axe Throwing?
Axe Throwing is all about technique, focus and coordination rather than strength. You will learn how to throw axes safely and accurately at wooden targets, enjoying the satisfying challenge of landing that perfect bullseye. It is a brilliant stress-busting activity that helps you switch off, concentrate and enjoy something a little out of the ordinary.How does the Axe Throwing session work?
Your instructor will guide you through the correct techniques, offering demonstrations, tips and support throughout the session. You will throw a variety of axes at different wooden targets, taking part in fun challenges designed to build confidence and accuracy.Where does Axe Throwing take place?
Axe Throwing takes place in our beautiful woodland ranges at Mendip Activity Centre. Set within our 250-acre woodland estate in the Mendip Hills National Landscape, the ranges offer a fantastic outdoor setting for this unique activity, easily accessible from Bristol and Weston-super-Mare.Who can take part in Axe Throwing?
Axe Throwing sessions can be booked in the following ways:- Individual spaces (Age 8+)
- Exclusive Private Group for up to 12 people (Ages 6+). If you book this option we can relax the child age restriction to 6+, provided at least one participating adult (18+) is present.
Important Information!
- Axe Throwing is an outdoor activity, so please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
- No specialist clothing is required, but sturdy footwear is recommended. The route to the woodland ranges may be muddy.
- Well behaved dogs are welcome onsite but cannot join the Axe Throwing session. Please make suitable arrangements for their care during your activity.
