Caving - Swildon's Hole
How does it work?
The Mendip Hills has the largest underground cave network in the UK. Experience the amazing underground labyrinth of passages and caverns first hand.
Meet your instructor at the Priddy Green car park where you'll get kitted out in boiler suit, helmet and headtorch. We have wellies available or you're welcome to bring and wear you own. You'll go through a briefing before taking a short walk to the cave entrance and heading below the surface. Crawl, walk, climb, lower and pull yourself through the subterrranean caverns and discover flowing formations and stalagmites and stalactites hidden deep beneath our feet.
Our instructors will tailor the session to your ability and allow you to progress at your own pace, ensuring your experience is unique, enjoyable and a much more than any open cave tours.
IMPORTANT.
Please note, Swildon's Hole is a wet cave. You will get wet! Wear lots of warm layers - even if it is good weather in the summer. Please bring a complete change of clothes and towel.
