Gold DofE Residential

Mendip Activity Centre's Gold DofE multi-activity residential weeks are super fun weeks designed to ensure you complete the residential section of your Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. As well as taking part in addictive adventurous activites, you'll make life-long memories and find plenty of opportunities for development and growth.

Is this suitable for me?
These residentials are designed for anyone looking to complete the residential section of their Gold DofE award. You must be aged between 16 and 25. We meet all of the requirements laid out by the DofE.

Availability
To book, select the first date from the calendar to choose your week. Our weeks often sell out, so don't miss out:

    Where does it take place?
    Mendip Activity Centre, Churchill, North Somerset, BS25 5PQ. We are conveniently located between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare with quick access to train stations, local and national bus stops and Bristol International airport. We offer a FREE train station pick up.

    What does it include?
    Try all of our most popular activities including: archery active, climbing, abseiling, kayaking, assault course, raft building, frisbee gold, axe throwing, air rifles, archery and bushcraft!
    This package includes your accommodation, meals, drinks, instruction, equipment and transport to activities.

    Accommodation
    • April and October Residentials take place in Mendip Lodge in private ensuite bunk-room style accommodation.
    • May - August Residentials take place at Mendip Basecamp, our onsite campsite in bunktents, a cross between camping and glamping.
    Both accommodation types come with USB charging facilities, WiFi, lounge areas and comfortable foam mattresses. Hot showers and flushing toilets are always available and you'll have exclusive use of your venue.

    Food
    Our catering team will supply breakfast buffets, packed lunches and home cooked, 2 course, evening meals. All dietary requirements will be catered for.

    Cost
    • Indoor Accommodation (April & October): £385 per person.
    • Camping Accommodation (May & July): £359 per person
