Paddlesport Touring Leader Training

A 2-day Paddle UK Training course that enables you to lead fun, safe, and enjoyable trips on moderate inland water in a range of craft such as Kayaks, Canoes, and Stand Up Paddle Boards.

    • Where does the course take place?

    This course will occur at an appropriate venue in South West England, such as the River Exe or River Avon. The exact venue will be confirmed upon booking. Please note, no transport is provided.

    Are there any pre-requirements?

    This course is for those aged 16+. There is no formal prerequisite award, but this is an award at a level above the Paddlesport Leader. You may also find the following courses useful: Paddle Explore, Paddlesport Safety and Rescue, and Paddlesport Leader.

    You must have Full Membership of Paddle UK (formerly British Canoeing), a 2-day First Aid course, and Safeguarding Training (both dated within the last three years).

    What's included in the Paddlesport Touring Leader Training?
    The training covers four key areas:

  • Safety, leadership, and group skills
