Kayak the River Dart is a fully guided Kayaking journey through one of Devon's most beautiful river environments. Paddling on sheltered tidal water, you will travel downstream from Totnes towards Dittisham and back, enjoying peaceful scenery, wooded banks and wide open estuary views as the tide helps carry you along.Who can take part in Kayak the River Dart?
This trip is open to adults aged 18+. No previous Kayaking experience is required; it is suitable for anyone looking for a relaxed but memorable day exploring the river by Kayak.How does Kayak the River Dart work?
You will meet your instructors at Totnes before heading out on a full day out and back journey on the River Dart. Using the assistance of the tide, you will paddle downstream towards Dittisham before returning upriver. Throughout the day, our experienced and passionate guides will offer support, tips and local knowledge to make the journey safe and enjoyable.The day includes:

- Kayaks, paddles and buoyancy aids
- Optional transport to and from Devon
What should I bring for Kayak the River Dart?
You will be out on the water for most of the day, so please come prepared.- Quick drying clothing (avoid jeans)
- Old trainers or water shoes
- A towel and full change of clothes
- A waterproof jacket and trousers
- Lunch, snacks and drinks for a full day on the water
- Parking fee if required
