Forest School
How does it work?
Kate and Tor will meet you at Mendip Activity Centre reception and we will head into the woods for den building, fire making, wood whittling, fun and games.
Let the adventure begin...
The each session covers a programme of outdoor learning, from a range of activities including fire making, den building, wood crafts and open fire cooking. The session focus on the children's well-being, and the aim is to build their confidence and allow them the freedom to explore The Great Outdoors in a safe environment.
Who are these activities for?
The sessions are suitable for children aged 6 to 16. This is a drop and leave session, and therefore parents/ carers are not expected to stay for the session. The sessions are aimed at Home Educated children, but other children are welcome too.
What COVID measures are you taking?
We can allow groups larger than six because, as a COVID secure business, we ensure that social distancing is maintained throughout the session, keeping everyone safe and distanced at all times. All specialist equipment will be provided and appropriately sanitised before each session. Social distance is expected with members not in your household throughout the session.
