Canoe the River Wye is a gentle, A to B paddling journey through the heart of the Wye Valley in our stable two person canoes. You will travel through peaceful countryside, enjoy time on the water and experience one of the UK's most beautiful rivers with expert guidance throughout.Who can take part?
This canoe trip is open to adults aged 18+. No previous canoeing experience is required. It is suitable for anyone looking for a relaxed day on the water, whether you are new to Canoeing or simply want to enjoy the River Wye.How does Canoe the River Wye trip work?
This is a full day guided river journey starting at Kerne Bridge and finishing at Symonds Yat on the River Wye in Herefordshire, just over an hour from Bristol. Our experienced instructors will be with you throughout the day, offering support, tips and local knowledge as you paddle downstream.The day includes:
- A fully guided A to B Canoe journey
- Instruction and top tips from experienced, passionate guides
- Stable two person canoes, paddles and buoyancy aids
- Optional transport to and from Mendip Activity Centre
What should I bring on this River Wye trip?
You will be out on the river for most of the day, so please come prepared.- Quick drying clothing (avoid jeans)
- Old trainers or water shoes
- A towel and full change of clothes
- A waterproof jacket and trousers
- Lunch, snacks and drinks for a full day on the water
- Parking fee
Where will the trip take place?
The journey takes place on the River Wye in Herefordshire, starting at Kerne Bridge and finishing at Symonds Yat. The meeting point is The Paddle Cafe at Kerne Bridge Canoe, Ross-on-Wye, with a pay and display car park available.Important Information!
