    What is Twilight Tobogganing?

    'Tis the season for Twilight Tobogganing! These magical sessions are now open for bookings - perfect for a festive family between 6th November 2025 and 4th January 2026. This festive family favourite always sells out so book early to guarantee your spot!

    How does it work?

    Make magical memories with exclusive use of half our Tobogganing slope beneath a canopy of over 10,000 sparkling fairy lights, dancing lasers and holiday tunes.

    Then, follow a shimmering woodland trail to a hidden festive grotto, where everyone gathers around a crackling log fire to toast s'mores, enjoy tasty hot chocolate and capture memories with festive sparklers.

    Who can take part in Twilight Tobogganing?

    Twilight Tobogganing is suitable for groups of up to eight people and designed for everyone aged 4+. If you book both sides of the slope, you can bring up to 16 people.

    New for 2025! A limited number of individual spaces. These sessions are for children aged 4 to 12 only. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times but, due to limited spectator space, please keep adults to one or two per child.

    Important Information!
  • Twilight Tobogganing is available all day. There are no other toboggan sessions available in this period.
  • All Tobogganers will attend a Safety Brief prior to using the slope.
  • Tobogganers must wear full-length sleeves & trousers, covered footwear and full fingered gloves.
  • This is not an instructor-supervised activity. Participants must be supervised by a parent/guardian aged 18+ to ensure rules are followed.
  • Dress for the weather. Consider bringing waterproofs or a change of clothes. The woodland area is located within our woodland which can be uneven under foot. Sturdy footwear such as walking boots or trainers are recommended.
  • FAQ's

    Please aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before your booked time slot. 


    Your time on the Toboggan slope begins at your booked time slot (30 minutes or 1 hour). 


    If you arrive late, we will try to get you onto the Toboggan slope as soon as possible; however, you will still need to complete your safety brief and you may have to wait for a member of staff to become free. 


    We are unable to carry your time into the next slot so please arrive in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

    Yes! In 2025, we are offering a limited number of sessions for individuals. These sessions are limited to children aged 4 to 12 only.


    They must be supervised by an adult at all times. Due to limited spectator space in the bushcraft area afterwards, we politely request that you keep adults to a minimum of one or two per child.


    We expect these sessions to be extremely popular so if you cannot see any available, this does mean they have sold out.


    Private Sessions:

    You can bring a maximum of 8 people tobogganing per session. You may bring up to 4 additional spectators. 


    Campfire extras will only be available for a maximum of 8 people. Additional spectators will be welcome to stay in the bushcraft area or wait in the Alpine Lounge. At least one adult must remain with the group. 


    Both Sides of the Slope:

    If there are spots available, you will be able to book both sides of the toboggan slope and bring up to 16 tobogganers and 8 spectators. View availability here.


    Individual Spaces: 

    These will only available for children aged 4 to 12 and you book per child. Children must be supervised by an adult at all time. There is limited space for spectators so we politely ask that you limit spectators to one or two per child. If you wish to bring more, book a private session!



    Private Sessions: All tobogganers must all be aged 4+ but there is no upper age limit. There must be at least one adult present among the tobogganers and spectators.


    Individual Sessions: These are only available for children aged 4 to 12. Children must be supervised by an adult at all time. There is limited space for spectators so we politely ask that you limit spectators to one or two per child. If you wish to bring more, book a private session!

    Our cafe-bar, the Alpine Lounge, is open every day from 9am to 9pm* during Twilight Tobogganing. Last food orders are one hour before closing time.


    Twilight Tobogganing sessions last one hour. If you are booked for a session later in the evening, you may wish to eat before tobogganing. 


    *The Alpine Lounge will close at 5pm on the 21st December, 24th December and 31st December.

    Roasting Marshmallows, s'mores, Sparklers and Hot Chocolates are all included with every Twilight Toboggan session and we would love for you to join us for a woodland campfire after your tobogganing to continue the festivities.


    Hot chocolates, s'mores and sparklers are only available if you attend the campfire straight after your Toboggan session.

    If you would prefer to leave straight after your tobogganing, this is fine, just please let us know!


    Yes! You are welcome to book both sides at the same time. This allows you to bring up to 16 tobogganers and up to 8 extra spectators. Extra spectators will not be able to toboggan and will not receive any of the extras.

    You are more than welcome to bring your group- whether it is a school group, scouts, cubs, guides, cadets, a sports team or any other youth group- to Twilight Tobogganing.  To do this, please book a session as normal.
    Due to the nature of Twilight Tobogganing, we can't make any exceptions to our numbers during Twilight.


    We so have exclusive offers available for schools, youth groups and education groups during term time weekday hours andin the New Year period.

    Tobogganers must wear full-length sleeves, full-length trousers, covered footwear (no flip flops or crocs) and a pair of full-fingered gloves whilst on the slope. We sell full-fingered gloves in Reception. 

    There is a light sprinkler system on the slope so you could get a little damp even if it's not raining. We will go ahead in all weather conditions so dress for the weather and consider layers in case you get too hot.


    Please bring your own Santa hats and hot chocolate mugs! In order to discourage waste and single-use, we are encouraging all tobogganers to bring their own festive Santa hats and hot chocolate mugs. We will have spares available if you don't have your own.
