    What is Twilight Tobogganing?
    The open-air Toboggan slope is one of our most popular and exhilarating physical activities. Between 8th November 2024 and 5th January 2025, we've given it a Christmas twist! This festive family favourite always sells out so book early to guarantee your spot!

    How does it work?
    Your private group of up to eight people will get exclusive use of half of our Toboggan slope. Everyone in your group - adults included- will be gifted with a free Santa hat and use of a Zibob toboggan! With holiday music in the air, whizz down our outdoor slope in a whirl of colourful fairy lights and lasers, with snow from a real snow machine dusting your cheeks.

    Once you have earned your Santa-approved Toboggan License, take a stroll through the illuminated woodland to a secret enchanted clearing. Trees draped with canopies and fairy lights surround an open log fire where everyone can toast marshmallows and warm up with tasty hot chocolate. Finish the session with a blaze of sparklers for a fantastic festive photo.

    Who can take part?
    Twilight Tobogganing is suitable for groups of up to eight-people and designed for families with children aged 4+. If you book both sides of the slope, you can bring up to 16 people.

    Important Information
  • Twilight Tobogganing is available all day. There are no other toboggan sessions available in this period.
  • All Tobogganers will attend a Safety Brief prior to using the slope.
  • Tobogganers must wear full-length sleeves & trousers, covered footwear and full fingered gloves.
  • Minimum one adult (18+) present.
  • We always recommend dressing for the forecast weather. Consider bringing waterproofs or a change of clothes. The bushcraft area is located within our woodland which can be uneven under foot. Sturdy footwear such as walking boots or trainers are recommended.
  • BE GREEN. If possible, please bring your own festive Santa hats and hot chocolate mugs to discourage single-use waste.

    Please aim to arrive at least 10 minutes before your booked time slot. 


    Your time on the Toboggan slope begins at your booked time slot (30 minutes or 1 hour). 


    If you arrive late, we will try to get you onto the Toboggan slope as soon as possible,  however we will have to complete a safety brief and you may have to wait for a member of staff to become free. As we are unable to carry your time into the next slot,  please arrive in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

    Tobogganers must wear full-length sleeves, full-length trousers, covered footwear (no flip flops or crocs) and a pair of full-fingered gloves whilst on the slope. We sell full-fingered gloves in Reception. 

    There is a light sprinkler system on the slope so you could get a little damp even if it's not raining. We will go ahead in all weather conditions so dress for the weather and consider layers in case you get too hot.


    Please bring your own Santa hats and hot chocolate mugs! In order to discourage waste and single-use, we are encouraging all tobogganers to bring their own festive Santa hats and hot chocolate mugs. We will have spares available if you don't have your own.


    All tobogganers must all be aged 4+ but there is no upper age limit. There must be at least one adult present among the tobogganers and spectators.

    You can bring a maximum of 8 people tobogganing per session. You may bring up to 4 additional spectators.

    Campfire extras will only be available for a maximum of 8 people. Any additional spectators will be welcome to stay in the bushcraft area or wait in the Alpine Lounge. At least one adult must remain with the group. 


    If there are spots available, you will be able to book both sides of the toboggan slope and bring up to 16 tobogganers and 8 spectators.

    Roasting Marshmallows, s'mores, Sparklers and Hot Chocolates are all included with every Twilight Toboggan session and we would love for you to join us for a woodland campfire after your tobogganing to continue the festivities.

    If you would prefer to leave straight after your tobogganing, this is fine, just please let us know.

    Unfortunately, hot chocolates, s'mores and sparklers are only available if you attend the campfire straight after your Toboggan session.

    Our cafe-bar, the Alpine Lounge, is open every day. 


    Twilight Tobogganing sessions last one hour. If you are booked for a session later in the evening, please check the Alpine Lounge opening times as you may wish to eat before tobogganing.

    Monday - Sunday: 9am - 9pm


    Last food orders are 1 hour before closing time.


    Please note that the Alpine Lounge will close at 5pm on the 22nd, 24th and 31st December.


    Twilight tobogganing is only available to book as "Exclusive use". There are 2 sessions each half hour. 


    You are welcome to book both sides at the same time slot to bring up to 16 tobogganers and up to 8 spectators. 


    Please note that spectators will not be able to toboggan and will not receive any of the extras (e.g. hot chocolate, santa hats, s'mores etc).

    Yes! We have an exclusive offer available for local school and education groups.

    These sessions are available for ages 4 to 12 during term time weekday hours. These cost £200 and include:

    - 30 minutes use of the toboggan slope
    - 24 Zibob toboggans (If you bring slightly more than 24, you can rotate toboggans)

    - FREE Santa hats for everyone

    - 10,000 magical fairy lights, flood lights and lasers

    - Festive music

    - Magical snow machine

    - Santa approved Toboggan License

    - Hot Chocolates for everyone in our Alpine Lounge cafe for all tobogganers after the session.

    Please note that these sessions do not include a campfire. If you'd like to book during normal twilight session hours, please book as normal.

    You are more than welcome to bring your youth group- whether they are scouts, cubs, guides, cadets, a sports team or any other youth group- to twilight tobogganing. 


    To do this, please book a session as normal.

    Sorry, but due to the nature of Twilight Tobogganing, we can't make any exceptions to our numbers during Twilight, meaning you are limited by how many you can take.You are welcome to book both sides at the same time slot to bring up to 16 tobogganers and up to 8 spectators (Please note that spectators will not be able to toboggan and will not receive any of the extras (e.g. hot chocolate, santa hats, s'mores etc).
