What are Nerf & Gel Battles?
Nerf & Gel Battles takes place inside Hangar 51, our immersive indoor battle arena at Mendip Activity Centre. This space has been transformed into an action-packed space where you become the hero in your own real-life game. With bunkers, atmospheric lighting, fog effects and glowing ammunition, Hangar 51 creates a thrilling environment that goes far beyond a typical blaster game.How does Nerf & Gel Battles work?
Your group will have exclusive use of Hangar 51 for the full 1.5 hour session, giving you a private and uninterrupted experience. After a quick safety briefing from your instructor, you will take part in a mix of games and challenges using both Nerf and Gelfire blasters.The session includes 45 minutes of Nerf gameplay and 45 minutes of Gelfire gameplay, with a variety of missions designed to keep things engaging throughout.
Nerf gameplay uses foam dart blasters for fast-paced, fun battles, while Gelfire gameplay uses glow-in-the-dark rounds that light up as they travel through the arena, adding a more immersive edge to the experience.
How many people can take part?
Sessions are booked exclusively for your group, making it ideal for celebrations and group events. Group sizes range from 8 to 16 participants.Who can take part?
This activity is suitable for ages 6+ and works especially well for birthday parties, family groups and friends looking for a shared experience. Children under 8 must be supervised by an adult aged 18+ throughout the session.Important Information!
- Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for active play.
- We advise you wear long sleeves if you have sensitive skin.
- Whilst rare, some people may see slight marking on the skin, especially younger children and those with sensitive skin.
- Safety goggles or face protection are provided and must be worn at all times.
- Sturdy enclosed footwear must be worn. Crocs, sandals and flip flops are not permitted.
