Ever wanted your own private ski slope! Once in a lifetime chance to enjoy exclusive use of our entire ski slope for an hour for your family unit or group of friends. We supply the kit, you just need to be able to ski or snowboard.

Are there any age restrictions?We have ski equipment for ages 4+. Snowboarders must be at least 1.2m tall and have a size 2 adult shoe. All slope users must be able to ski or snowboard safely.
Can I use my annual pass?Unfortunately we are not able to accept annual or monthly slope passes during this time. If you had a slope pass, we will extend this for as long as you have been unable to use them.
Can I book lessons?Not just yet. Until social distancing is completely relaxed or we receive the appropriate guidance from our governing bodies, we cannot run any instructor-led snow sports sessions. Keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest information on when lessons can resume. If you have a gift voucher or a course package, we will extend this for as long as we are unable to run lessons for.
Should I bring my own helmet?If you have your own helmet, please bring this with you. Helmet hire is included in the price at no extra cost however the sanitisation process means that our helmets may still be damp.
What should I wear?We will provide all specialist equipment for your time on the slope. You just need a pair of full fingered gloves. You should wear comfy, full length trousers (try and avoid jeans, joggers or leggings are best) and full length sleeves. Our slope hire goes ahead in all weather conditions so please bring a waterproof if it looks like rain.Please bring your own helmet where possible. Helmet hire is included in your session however the sanitisation process means that hire helmets may still be damp.
Is this activity COVID safe?We know these times of uncertainty can cause some anxiety about being out and about. Fortunately, the outdoors is the safest place to be. Our check in process is contactless and our staff will remain at a distance from you at all times. All equipment is thoroughly sterilised between users. There is hand sanitiser available on reception and in the equipment fitting room.
What safety equipment will I be given?Skiers will be given skis, boots and a helmet. Snowboarders will be given a board, boots, knee and elbow pads (optional) and a helmet. All slope users must wear a helmet at all times whilst on the slope. Please bring your own helmet where possible. Helmet hire is included in your session however the sanitisation process means that hire helmets may still be damp. Gloves must be worn whilst on the slope, please bring these with you or they are available for purchase onsite.

What if I haven't skied/boarded for a while?Everyone on the slope must be able to stop on demand, control their speed, steer and avoid other objects and users and use a button drag lift. If it has been a while since you last hit the slopes please take it cautiously and take your time to get your "legs" back. If we think you are unsafe to yourself or others, we may have to ask you to leave the slope.
Can I teach someone to ski/board?We cannot allow tuition on our slope by anyone other than our fully qualified and insured instructors. Unfortunately we are currently unable to run lessons in line with government guidelines on social distancing. We can only allow experienced skiers or snowboarders to use the slope during this time.
How many people can I bring with me?Toboggan session: No more than six people on the slope. If your group is not part of the same household then you must follow social distancing guidelines. Due to the Gorvernment "Rule of 6", spectators must be included within the 6 people limit.
Ski slope hire: If you can all already ski or snowboard, you can hire the slope for a group of up to six people. If you are from different households, then government social distancing guidelines must be followed. We strongly recommend bringing your own helmets if you have them as ours can be damp due to our sanitising process.
Rec ski: On Friday nights starting in September we have open sessions which you can join from 4.30pm until 9pm. We provide skis/snowboards and boots. We strongly recommend bringing your own helmets if you have them as ours can be damp due to our sanitising process.
Archery, axe throwing, air rifles, bushcraft, canoeing, climbing, caving and abseiling: If you book individual spaces, you may bring as many people as you have booked for. If you have booked a session exclusively, you may bring up to 8 participants.
Frisbee Golf: In line with the "Rule of 6" you may bring a maximum of 6 people for Frisbee Golf bookings.
Ski and Snowboard lessons: We ask that adults attend lessons without spectators and that the number of accompanying adults is kept to as few as possible if children are taking part in snowsport lessons. Only lesson participants will be allowed into the kit room.
What if the weather isn't very good?As an outdoor activity centre we go ahead whatever the weather! The only exception to this rule is lightning directly over the centre, which we monitor very closely. Make sure you bring a change of clothes if it's raining, wrap up warm if it's windy, and drink plenty of fluids if it's hot. Make an adventure of it!!!
Can I park?We have a large car park onsite. Parking is free of charge.
Is your cafe open?Yes, we have temporarily relocated to our lodge, which is just a short walk up the steps alongside our main ski slope and we are operating on reduced hours. We have plenty of space in our lodge with comfy indoor seating and outdoor tables in our beer garden. Hot and cold drinks, ice-cream and the best local ales, beers and ciders plus cooked breakfasts, loaded fries, paninis, jacket potatoes and stone-baked pizzas.
Friday 1pm - 9pm, Kitchen 5pm - 8pm
Saturday 9am - 9pm, Kitchen 9am - 9pm
Sunday 9am - 6pm, Kitchen 9am - 6pm
Are your toilets open?Yes, we have toilets available for customer use. There is hand sanitiser on the entry and exit points and they are cleaned regularly.
Do you have disabled access?We are very fortunate to be situated in such a stunning location set in the Mendip hills. Unfortunately, this does come with its limitations. We currently only have stair access to our slopes and cafe, and the paths leading to our onsite activities can be fairly muddy and uneven.
Pushchairs/wheelchairs/mobility scooters may struggle depending on what part of the centre they are trying to access. We are always happy to try and help where we can so please do give us a call to discuss your individual requirements.
