What is Mendip's Nature Trail?
Explore at your own pace. Discover ancient woodland, hidden wildlife, and a little Mendip magic along the way. Our Self-Guided Nature Trail is the perfect way to soak up the beauty of the Mendip Hills and Mendip Activity Centre's stunning site. There are no time limits- just bring a good pair of shoes and a sense of adventure.
How does it work?
Winding through ancient woodland and open meadow, this trail is packed with surprises for curious explorers of all ages. Along the route, you’ll find brass rubbing stations and QR code checkpoints that reveal the secrets of the landscape—from rare wildflowers to roaming badgers and centuries-old trees. Each person taking part gets their own trail map to keep, helping you navigate and collect memories as you go. Whether you’re a solo wanderer, a family on a mission, or just fancy a mindful moment in nature, this trail is yours to shape.
Where does it take place?
The Nature Trail is located at Mendip Activity Centre, our beautiful 250-acre woodland estate set in one of Southwest England's most special places - The Mendip Hills National Landscape. We are close to Bristol and Weston Super Mare, the M5 motorway and with local rail and bus connections nearby.
Who can take part?
The Nature Trail is suited for all ages of children and adults. Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
