Minis Private Lesson
This 45 minute Minis Private Ski Lesson is designed for younger children aged 5 to 8 who benefit from shorter, one-to-one instruction.
What is a Minis Private Ski Lesson?
Minis Private Lessons are short, focused ski sessions designed specifically for younger children aged 5 to 8. These lessons allow children to learn at their own pace with direct support from an instructor. They are ideal for children who may benefit from one-to-one teaching or who are not quite ready to join a group lesson yet.
Is a Minis Private Lesson right for my child?
These lessons are ideal for younger children who learn best with close instructor support or in shorter sessions. The lesson can also be used as an assessment to see whether your child is ready to progress into our Minis group lessons. This session is designed for one child only.
How does the Minis Private Lesson work?
You will meet your instructor in our equipment room where your child will be fitted with skis, boots and a helmet. All equipment is included in the price. Please ensure your child brings gloves and wears full length sleeves and trousers. The lesson works through the stages of our Minis ski course at a pace suitable for your child. The 45 minute session includes time for kitting up and returning equipment.
These sessions are very hands-on and instructors may physically support or guide children while they learn the fundamentals of skiing.
What comes next?
Your child can continue progressing through the course with further private lessons or move into Minis group lessons if appropriate. Your instructor will advise which level of lesson is best for your child.Once the course is completed, your child will reach recreational skiing standard and can use a Slope Pass to ski independently.
They can also join one of our Ski With An Instructor sessions or the junior section of Mendip Ski Club, our weekly informal ski club.
Minis group lessons are available during the winter season only (October to Easter).
