This Minis 5 Ski Lesson helps children aged 5 to 8 refine their turns and ski confidently from the top of the main slope.
What is the Minis 5 Ski Lesson?
The Minis Ski Course is a fun, step-by-step way for younger children aged 5 to 8 to learn to ski.Minis 5 is the final stage of the course and focuses on refining linked turns and building the confidence to ski from the top of the main slope.
Each lesson may need to be repeated until the required skills are achieved before progressing or completing the course.
Who is the Minis 5 Ski Lesson suitable for?
This lesson is for children aged 5 to 8 who have completed Minis 4 and have been advised by their instructor that they are ready to progress to Minis 5.How does the Minis 5 Ski Lesson work?
Our experienced, qualified instructors will meet the children in the equipment room and help them get fitted with skis, boots and a helmet. All equipment is included in the price. Please ensure children bring gloves and wear full length sleeves and trousers.During Minis 5, children will focus on making their linked turns smoother and more controlled. They will build the confidence needed to ski from the top of the main slope.
Children will spend around one hour on the slope with their instructor. With small group sizes of up to four, there is plenty of time for individual support and encouragement.
What comes next?
After the lesson your instructor will confirm when your child has achieved all the skills required to complete the Minis Ski Course.Once completed, your child will be able to ski on the slope as a recreational skier without an instructor.
They can use a Slope Pass to ski independently, join one of our Ski With An Instructor sessions or take part in the junior section of Mendip Ski Club.
