We will contact you nearer the time so that you can choose a location to run this assessment. We are happy to attend venues near Bristol, Somerset or Devon.
Who is this for?
Anyoned aged 14+ can take part in this course. There are no formal Personal Performance Award or Safety Award requirements to complete your Paddlesport Leader Assesment but if you would like to take part in the Training you can here or you can complete the Paddle Explore here . This assessment is for one or two people.
How do I book?
1. Choose your number of participants and then use the date selector to find the date. 2. Once you have booked onto our course you will need to become a British Canoeing Member at the following address: https://members.britishcanoeing.org.uk/. Choose the "on the water" option.
3. Next, you will need to register for the course on the British Canoeing website before sending British Canoeing Membership Number to info@mendip.co.uk
Course content
This award is open to all paddlers to enable you to improve fun, safe and enjoyable trips. You will choose to paddle on kayaks, canoes or a paddleboard and will be required to plan and run a simple paddlesports journey.

Funding
If you are a member of a canoe club, you may be entitled to some support from them or from British Canoeing. Contact the treasurer of your club or the Paddlesport Development Officier for your region.
